ECN Petten - Flare Skid

The waste gasses of our clients producion process include carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen (N2) and hydrogen (H). Since these gasses are not allowed to be emitted into the atmosphere by law, they have to be burned beforehand. This is done by using a flare skid at the end of the process.

Challenge

  • Mix the CO2, N2 and H with other gases so they can be burned with the torch
  • Create a system that can be easily disassembled and moved when needed

Solution

  • Production of an integrated flare on the existing skid
  • The flare can be tilted horizontally on the skid for easy relocation
